EVENT POSTPONED. PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR UPDATES.
Our colleagues in the Southeast Region of the Edgar Cayce’s Association for Research and Enlightment (A.R.E.) at the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville Christian County in Southwestern Kentucky invite you to join the Museums the weekend of March 20-22, 2020 [POSTPONED to 2021 as of March 2020 update] for the 28th Annual Edgar Cayce Hometown Seminar that pays tribute to Hopkinsville and Christian County’s most famous son: Edgar Cayce. Immerse yourself in the land where Edgar Cayce was born and reared and where he discovered his remarkable gifts that prompted his life’s work. If you haven’t heard about Edgar Cayce, the 20th Century “sleeping prophet” and a “father of holistic medicine”, you are welcome to read our post Nature and Spirituality on Your Green Homestead or visit the main Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. website.
The weekend seminar is packed with a combination of enlightening presentations featuring Peter Woodbury speaking on the topic From Creation to Revelation, and special hometown visits and experiences that will make this weekend unlike any other.
The weekend also includes a special dedication to the new exhibition dedicated to Edgar Cayce and his legacy in Hopkinsville in the recently remodeled Pennyroyal Area Museum. Be present for a ribbon cutting ceremony to bless his story and this space. Saturday afternoon will include opportunities to explore downtown Hopkinsville on a self-guided walking tour, jet out on your own to take the Edgar Cayce Cell Phone Tour, or visit some of the local shops. The Museum Shop will have complimentary tastings and samples of Cayce-related products, and small group bus tours to Beverly Academy (where Edgar Cayce attended school) and Riverside Cemetery (where Edgar and Gertrude are both buried) will be available.
Gather with the Museums at Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park outside Edgar Cayce’s hometown for a weekend full of learning, fellowship, and self-discovery.
