Please join the Nashville Living Future Collaborative (NLFC) at Belmont University’s Leu Center for Visual Arts auditorium, located at 1989 Belmont Blvd (Campus Map or mobile map), on Monday February 17, 2021, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm (light snacks to follow). This meeting will kick off the Collaborative’s 2020-21 program series Building Blocks.
The Building Blocks series will allow participants to explore the entire Living Building Challenge (LBC) in depth. This will be accomplished by a detailed dive into the LBC structure. Each Petal will be studied in a hands-on workshop format with participants working in teams to explore the challenges of each petal and its imperatives.
How it works:
The NLFC will release an RFP for a model project by or before the end of March 2020. The ideal model project will be relatively small in scale, may represent a non-profit client, and will not have a fast-track schedule as the workshop schedule will comprise approximately 18 months. In order to make this process as flexible as possible, the NLFC is proposing that the workshop moves across Nashville using the offices of participating design and construction firms who support and endorse the principles and philosophy of the LBC.
This kickoff meeting will provide more details into the Building Blocks series and give you the chance to ask questions and to participate, either as a subject matter expert, or designer, in the design of a real Living Building Challenge project.
Please RSVP for this FREE event below or register on eventbrite.
