Do you wish the materials used in the construction and remodeling of our buildings had something like a “nutrition” label describing their ingredients and indicating any toxic substances? This is no longer just a wish. The Declare Label of the International Living Future Institute (ILFI) now has over 900 products with 3rd-party verified information in its Declare Product Database, and this number grows daily! ILFI’s Red List contains about 800 descriptions of various toxic compounds that might bio-accumulate up the food chain and/or harm industry workers during production. These two databases are a great resource for the transparency requirements of the Living Building Challenge projects that ILFI certifies around the world. Lucky for Nashville, Tennessee, we have an opportunity to meet face-to-face with several dozen representatives of the listed manufacturers from the ILFI Declare database during the Tradeshow/Exhibitor Speed Dating portion of the Living Product Expo 2019 on October 9, 2019 at the Music City Center. The $20 Public Day Pass is valid on Wednesday, October 9th from 1:30 to 10:00 p.m. and includes the afternoon plenary panel, trade show floor, Wednesday night keynote and afterparty.
